Course Description :

Discover a new way of looking at an ancient text! It is sometimes difficult to relate the Torah's messages to our contemporary lives. In this course, we'll journey together to discover personal meaning from the Torah portion (Parshat HaShavua) through the lens of Mussar.  Mussar is a Jewish spiritual practice that gives concrete instructions on how to live a meaningful and ethical life. Each session we will focus on a specific character trait that might be evident in the text, and its relevance in our lives. We will engage in lively discussion and experience Torah in a new and personal way. This class will be engaging, uplifting, and enlightening.

Dates: Mar. 16, 23; Apr. 6, 13, 20
