Uncover who your demons are and who you want to be your guardian angel!

Course Description :

Creatures that invoke fear and offer comfort appear throughout the Bible, Talmud, Midrash, Kabbalah, Liturgy and Literature. Through our narratives, art, and music, we will explore the mythic world of Jewish angels and demons. Demons, both mythical and real find their way into our folklore and sacred texts---from The Snake  to Amalek. We will discover the saving grace of angels--- from the Malachim to Shechinah. We have monsters galore including Leviathan, Behemoth, Zia and and the Golem. Using examples from literature and lore, we will confront where the wild things live and where the spirits rest. Bring your suspension of belief and your curiosity to confront the magical world that our ancestors created, which has found its way into our modern mythic conception of reality. Uncover who your demons are and who you want to be your guardian angels!
