"Teach us to number our days, that we may acquire a heart of wisdom."
-- Psalm 90:12
Course Description :
What does it mean to age wisely, and to face the end of life on your own terms? Over three sessions, Rabbi Cheryl Weiner opens up the questions most of us put off: who we are at this stage, what we value, what we want to leave behind, and how we want to be cared for when the time comes. The first session is about hopes and legacies; the next two turn practical, walking through the conversations and the actual paperwork, from advance directives and healthcare surrogates to DNRs and Jewish burial, and how each squares with Jewish law. It's honest, interactive, and built on real sharing rather than a lecture. Hard things are easier to face in good company, and this is a place to start.

** This course is presented free of charge in affiliation with Mishkan Miami.
