“The Psalms are the songs of Israel;
always sing them with pride."
- A grandfather’s words to his granddaughter at her Bat Mitzvah

Course Description :

Comprising 150 chapters, these songs of praise to God, cries of despair at personal misfortune, celebrations of triumph over adversaries, both spiritual and physical, solace in the face of loss, and so many other life moments, have provided words of strength, courage, comfort for countless generations readers, both Jews and Christians alike.

Through selected reading, discussion, as well as personal reflection, we will enter into the spiritual world of Psalms. From our journey, though not having read all 150 Psalms, we will have gained and internalized tools necessary for further personal exploration and appreciation of these timeless songs.
