"Leadership is about seeing the invisible and giving it a voice."

- Rabbanit Sara Hurwitz

Course Description :

This course offers an exploration of influential figures who helped shape modern Jewish thought, practice, and identity. From the mystical teachings of the Baal Shem Tov and the intellectual rigor of the Alter Rebbe to groundbreaking reformers, educators, and pioneers in Jewish leadership, we’ll examine how these personalities responded to the challenges of their times—and transformed the Judaism we know today. Each week spotlights leaders across the denominational spectrum, including Moses Mendelssohn, Rabbi Isaac Mayer Wise, Rabbi Sally Priesand, Rabbi Adin Steinsaltz, and Rabbanit Sara Hurwitz. Through study and discussion, participants will gain deeper insight into the diverse voices that continue to inspire contemporary Jewish life.
